20-20-65 – Games over .500 for the Braves, wins in their final at-bat
this season, and innings their pitchers have gone without giving up a
home run.

The Braves scored three runs in the ninth inning for a 4-3 win Monday
night against the Dodgers, their majors-leading 20th win in their final
at-bat.

They improved to 69-49, the first time they’ve been 20 games over .500
since they were 90-70 on Sept. 30, 2005.

Atlanta pitchers haven’t allowed a home run in the last 65 innings and
whittled their majors-leading August ERA to 1.92 after allowing only one
earned run Tuesday.

And yet they are only 18-18 in one-run games. Strange.
